How to delete the data we hold about your messages
This page is from Passage Export Company Ltd, Mauritius, which operates Lakaz Mama.
- Email girish.r@lakazmama.com with the subject "Delete my Messenger data".
- Tell us three things. We use them only to find your conversation:
- the Facebook name you messaged us from;
- which of our Pages you messaged;
- roughly when you messaged us.
- If we cannot match your request to a conversation, we may ask you to send a short message to the same Page, so that we know the request comes from you.
- We will act on your verified request within 30 days and confirm by email.
What we delete
- From our reply records:
- your message text, your name, and the identifiers Meta gave us for you and for the conversation;
- every draft and every sent reply to you;
- the delivery and checking records for those replies;
- our staff's notes about your enquiry.
- Copies of your messages kept in our team's working files.
What remains
- A minimal record in our reply system. It shows that an enquiry existed, the dates and types of the actions our staff took, and the names of those staff. It contains nothing that identifies you.
- Meta's own copy of the conversation, which Meta keeps under its terms. You can delete your copy in Messenger.
- Records held by our service providers in their service logs and backups, including the conversation history of AI assistants our team used. These are removed on the providers' own schedules, not on ours.
